Mayberry Early Learning Center, LLC
Play, Learn and Grow Together!

Mayberry Early Learning Center will ensure quality care that will enhance children's academic and social skills; while providing a fun, creative learning experience.

Mayberry Early Learning Center will offer childcare services and a fun, creative and educational curriculum designed for children 6 weeks through 12 years of age. Normal operating hours will be from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday - with observance to all major legal holidays.

Ten Commandments of Interactions with Children:

Thou shalt not speak to a child from across the room
Thou shalt get down on the child's eye-level and use children's names
Thou shalt accept, help identify, and validate children's feelings
Thou shalt teach and encourage children to use problem-solving
Thou shalt be aware of tone of voice and speak to children respectfully, always mindful of their self-esteem
Thou shalt ask open-ended questions to encourage thinking skills
Thou shalt greet children warmly when they arrive, and continue to make them feel welcome and accepted throughout the day
Thou shalt state things in a positive way, telling children what they can do, and not what they can't do
Thou shalt serve as a positive role-model
Thou shalt remember to use praise and positive reinforcement - including appropriate affection

Services

Mayberry Early Learning Center will offer five basic services in the Moneta Community.

Full and Part-time Child Day Care (ages 6 weeks to 4 years old)
Part-time Before/After School Care (including drop off and pick up)
Summer Day Camp (ages 4 to 12 years old)
"Kids Night Out" (time for children to have fun while parents are out)
Walk-ins (ONLY when space permits & MUST have current application on file and all fees current)

What are the days and hours of operation?
Our hours are from 6:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. - Monday thru Friday.
What are the ages of children you serve?
We serve children from ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
Do you provide the meals for the children?
Yes, We serve breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack for children 12 months and older. Our meals are USDA Approved.
Are you a licensed child care center?
Yes, we are licensed and regulated by Department of Social Services.
Do you give a multi-child discount?
Yes, we give a 10% discount for the oldest child (full-time enrollment).

Hello! My name is Nicole and I am the new Director/Infant Lead Teacher and I would like to tell you a little about myself. Child care has always been my passion and I have an associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been working with young children for the past seven years and I am also a mother of two. Hi, my name is Danielle and I am the Lead Teacher in the Toddler Room. I was born and raised in the Roanoke Valley, and I am working on my degree in Early Childhood Development. My goal is to give your toddler the experience of a loving and caring environment. They will listen to music, go on outdoor strolls and participate in age appropriate activities. I enjoy coming to work everyday and being in the infant room. I love watching the infants and toddlers grow and watch their many accomplishments.

Here is a little bit about me... My name is Ashley Martin. I have a daughter named SaNa'a and she is in the infant room. I have worked with two year olds for about four years. Teaching children is what I love to do. In high school, I took Early Childhood Education and did my internship for Moneta Elementary School. I am very excited about being a part of Mayberry Early Learning Center and look forward to getting to know you and your children.

Hi my name is Cristie! I am the Pre-k teacher for the Learning Lions classroom. Working with children has always been a dream of mine; I am currently pursuing my Child Development Associates and will be finishing my degree this year. In the Pre-k classroom we focus on all area from recognizing the alphabet to tying their own shoes, we prepare them with everything they will need to know when entering kindergarten.
